There is a lot going on in the area, throughout the year from weekly classes to annual events.
Some of the events that you can get involved in include the Rainbow Run, public art exhibitions, Bands in the Park at Abington Park, Althorp House Food Festival, Grand Union Canal Cycle and a variety of classes are run on a weekly basis in the area.
Northampton has three main music venues - Iron Horse Music Hall, The Parlor Room and Pearl Street Night Club - used by both local and established bands and performers. There are venues that hold comedy nights and film screenings such as the Picturedome. The centre has a great selection of restaurants, pubs, clubs and bars that hold their own promotional nights throughout the week.
Shopping is a big deal in the South Midlands! There are a variety of shops available at the Grosvenor shopping centre and Sixfields Retails Park, amongst many others. If you need some designer input, Northampton is only 50 minutes from Bicester Village designer shopping outlet.
